A career guidance site built to actually be used, not just visited once
Margdarshan exists because too many students in India make one of the biggest decisions of their life — which stream, which course, which career — based on scattered advice, half-read forum posts, and well-meaning but incomplete guesses from relatives. We wanted one place that lays out the real facts clearly, for free, without an agenda.
Our mission
Choosing a stream after Class 10, or a career after Class 12, is one of the first major decisions a student makes largely on their own — and it's often made with surprisingly little reliable information. Government portals are dense and hard to navigate. Coaching institutes have an obvious incentive to push you toward the courses they teach. Social media is full of confident opinions and very little verified detail.
Margdarshan's mission is simple: give every Indian student, regardless of city or income, free access to clear, structured, honest information about their options — eligibility, entrance exams, fees, realistic salary ranges, and what the day-to-day work actually looks like — so they can make the decision themselves, with real facts in front of them.
Our values
Free, with no catch
No paywalls, no "premium" tier, no locked chapters. Every guide is fully open to everyone.
Unbiased by design
We don't run coaching classes or sell admissions, so we have no reason to steer you toward any particular course.
Reviewed, not static
Eligibility rules, entrance exams and fee structures change often. We revisit guides rather than publishing once and forgetting them.
Written for students
Plain English, no unexplained jargon, and no assumption that you already know how any of this works.
Honest about trade-offs
Every path has real advantages and real downsides. We'd rather tell you both than oversell any single option.
No sign-up, no tracking wall
You shouldn't have to hand over an email address just to read about eligibility criteria. So you don't.
How we build and maintain our guides
Research
We start from official regulator sources — ICAI, ICSI, ICMAI, UGC, AICTE and similar — not secondhand summaries.
Write in plain English
Every guide is rewritten in our own words, structured around the questions students actually ask.
Flag uncertainty honestly
Where figures like fees or salaries change often, we say so and point you to the official source.
Revisit over time
Rules change — entrance exams get restructured, fee slabs get revised. We update guides rather than leaving them frozen.
We don't publish sponsored rankings of colleges or coaching institutes, and we don't accept payment to feature a particular course more prominently. If you ever spot something on Margdarshan that looks outdated or incorrect, we genuinely want to know — see the Contact page for how to reach us.
We'd like to hear from you
Whether you've spotted an error, want a career added, or just want to say the site helped — we read every message.
